At the hospital I was led to believe that Zoloft didn’t work for 6 weeks so that meant that it was me and not the drugs. I was subjected to a drug that has been known to cause homicide since years before it was ever approved. Read the studies on lab animals subjected to SSRIs – they become EXTREMELY violent, even rabbits who are normally quite docile animals.

You are a Scientologist. Nobody uses the word ‘psych’ except for them.

FreePlay 04/04/2008 at 3:19 PM

To all viewers of this video:

This is a piece of propaganda being used by the Church of Scientology in its ongoing campaign to show that psychiatry is the root of all the world’s evils.

The Church of Scientology blames suicide, school shootings, the 9/11 attacks, the Holocaust, and pretty much every war in the last century on psychiatry.

This video is linked to from an e-mail sent around within the church to promote its insane message.

Do not support this video.

^^ scientologist

Suggesting that high doses of vitamins can cure anything is ridiculous, dangerous nonsense.

High doses of vitamins can KILL you.

“The drugs do not work”

Try again, scientologist.

My life without Zoloft was unmanageable. Now it’s perfectly fine. The drugs work, 100%.

“I don’t recall anywhere in the bill where it says 1) that any mother is free to deny the screenings”

Didn’t read it very well, did you?

“Sec.520K (c)(1)(C)SCREENING AND REFERRAL states “shall ensure that new mothers… are offered screenings for postpartum conditions…”

They’re OFFERED screenings. You can reject an offer.

but hey, don’t let that stop your scientologist crusade against the entire psychiatric industry.

FreePlay 04/04/2008 at 3:26 PM

“You can assume and believe what you want but that does not make it true.”

Very interesting that you should say this, because you’re consistently wrong about the drugs not working.

FreePlay 04/04/2008 at 3:27 PM

Using the term “psych drug” is evidence of being a scientologist. Nice try.

FreePlay 04/04/2008 at 3:28 PM

I’m sure she knows. Consistently using words like “psych drugs” is evidence that she *is* a scientologist.

FreePlay 04/04/2008 at 3:29 PM

Drugs can’t cause homicide. Give me a break.

No treatment is being forced here. What’s being ensured is that people have the OPTION for treatment.

This is typical of Scientology… they don’t want options, they just want their way.

patchesthedog 04/04/2008 at 4:53 PM

Even the drug companies know that their drugs can cause homicidal and suicidal thoughts — that’s why they have been required to put “black box” warnings on some of them! To assume that the person who created the video is a Scientologist is a huge mistake. I happen to know that she is not. I am her mother. I can guarantee you that Amy was not given an “option” for treatment when she reported the side effects of the drugs. She was locked up.

amyphilo 04/04/2008 at 6:06 PM

People already have options. This bill is about increasing prescriptions. Nobody is trying to take away your Zoloft. This bill requires screening all women. That is unnecessary and stupid. Women can decide for themselves what to do.

amyphilo 04/04/2008 at 6:08 PM

FreePlay, they are known as psychiatric drugs. Psych drugs is a short term. Your comment is ridiculous. If I said USA instead of UNITED STATES OF AMERICA that would not change my religion or beliefs, that is called saving comment space.

amyphilo 04/04/2008 at 6:08 PM

I suppose that the drug companies are wrong as well, and so is the NEJM, BJM and PLOS.

amyphilo 04/04/2008 at 6:11 PM

High doses of Zoloft can cause you to kill yourself or kill you through toxicity. It would take way more vitamin B and C than is recommended to even cause any side effects whatsoever. God did not put Prozac on the branches of trees and vines.

amyphilo 04/04/2008 at 6:12 PM

If CCHR wants to support the fight against the MOTHERS Act they are free to do so. You are free to not support it. This is a free country. That does not mean that every person ever hurt by drugs is a scientologist. If they were scientologists, they never would have been hurt by drugs.

amyphilo 04/04/2008 at 6:13 PM

I obviously do use it, and I am not a scientologist. Go away or I will report you for harassment. Your arguments are pointless. Go do your own stuff and leave me alone.

amyphilo 04/04/2008 at 6:14 PM

(this is not showing up under the correct comment but the writer was referring to using the term “psych” – by the way when I was a major in psychology in college we used the term psy as a prefix for our courses, I guess that means that we are weird for using abbreviations)

TheVeganicWitch 30/05/2008 at 11:36 AM

I use it all the time and I am a pagan…and defiantely NOT a scientologist.

sikovit 29/01/2009 at 2:33 PM

OH MAN……DOCTORS CAN GIVE MOTHERS ALL THESE DRUGS WITH HARDCORE SIDE EFFECTS……….REDICULOUS!………JUST SMOKE A JOINT…….oh yea….pot is illegal……..

plain F%#KED UP WORLD!!

kaneakeluh 10/03/2009 at 3:45 PM

There are thousands and thousands of VICTIMS out there. These DRUGS are EVIL!!! If anyone trully wants to know what it feels like to be crazy , take these drugs.

petunia511 16/04/2009 at 3:18 AM

LOOK UP REPRESENTATIVE OLSEN, here on YouTube, HE states the SCREENING PROGRAMS ARE A LIE. There are NO FACTS AND NO PROOF That these screenings prevent suicide, but the drugs given have proven to increase suicide and death. Call your representatives and ask them to show you proof that screenings and medications had decreased the risks of suicide. It doesn’t families, but it does increase your risk by 100% that CPS will be at your hospital bed carting off your baby, I guarantee it!

theboredone 27/04/2009 at 6:48 AM

I’ve signed, Amy. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. Good luck!

Because the UK is miffed with Gordon Brown this would not mean that Adolf Hitler was a good person if Gordon Brown where to say that he was evil.

If anyone says something critical of psychiatry, this doesn’t actually mean that they are a Scientologist.
